Arvydas Pakalka (b. 1957) – a painter and graphic artist. In 1981 he graduated from the State Art Institute of Lithuania (now Vilnius Academy of Arts) where he studied with Aloyzas Stasiulevičius and Vincentas Gečas. Since 1982 he has been constantly participating in various exhibitions: over 30 solo shows in Vilnius (1984, 1990–1996, 1998–1999, 2002–2004, 2006–2007, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2017), Klaipėda (1993), Palanga (2008), Panevėžys (1992), Helsinki (1995), Joensuu, Finland (1996), Kap Arkona, Rügen, Germany (1998), Västervik, Sweden (1999), Toeplitz, Germany (2002), Fano, Italy (2008), over 250 group exhibitions of Lithuanian and international artists in Lithuania and abroad, over 50 workshops, symposia, residencies, artistic actions etc. Granted 19 sholarships, various awards for his painting, graphic art and sculpture. Works owned by Lithuanian Art Museum, M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art, Graphic Cabinet at the Vilnius University, other museums, libraries, public and private institutions, private collectors in Lithuania and abroad.
