Arūnas Baltėnas, the member of Lithuanian Art Photographers’ Union since 1980, was born in 1956 Lithuania. In 1979 he graduated Vilnius University. In 1984–1994 he has worked in the program of Lithuanian cultural heritage.
Since 1997 he has been taking part in various exhibitions: solo shows in Vilnius (1997, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2011, 2012, 2013), Kaunas (2005, 2008), Salzburg, Austria (2002), Modesto, USA (2002), Paris, France (2004), Luxembourg (2007), St Petersburg, Russia (2008), Minsk, Belarus (2010), Rome, Italy (2015), group exhibitions in Peking, China (2000), Vilnius (2002) etc. Arūnas Baltėnas as a photographer participated in many albums, such as “Lithuanian Folk Art”, “Monuments of Lithuanian History”, “The Art of Lithuanian Churches”, “The Old Lithuanian Sculpture”, “Wonderful Lithuania”, etc.
National Museum of Lithuania in Vilnius and French National Library in Paris have bought his collections of black & white photographs about Vilnius Old Town. A lot of black & white photographs are in private collections in Poland, Germany, France, USA, Sweden, Russia, UK and other countries.
